A key part of this area is to build customer centric services and platform, and underlying products to drive engagement and revolutionize health and wellness.Join us as a Staff Software Development Engineer, also known as, Sr. Manager of Application Development within the Shared Services and Advanced Technology Delivery (SSATD) organization. As an Applications Development Senior Manager, with IBM ACE technical background, you will collaborate with both full-time employees and contracted cross-functional resources to execute IT project work throughout the various phases of the SDLC for several initiatives that will range in size and complexity. You are responsible for managing one or more engineering scrum teams on their technical delivery, and support the techno-functional impact analysis, design & code construction activities associated with development of software releases for the Aetna Technology IT systems. Strong technical, functional, and interpersonal skills are key to perform this role successfully. You will report to Application Domain Leader and collaborate with other tech leads, product teams, architects, business partners, and project managers to deliver Business change and innovation into our diverse technology suite of products, primarily IIB/ACE, ML or MongoDB, ODM, Cloud Components, KAFKA/MQ, JAVA, Microservices and springboot framework.As a Technical Lead of one or more scrum teams working with engineering teams and various other partner applications, you will help manage and grow our IT Delivery support and ecosystem.

Ensure Technical Solution provided by Solution Arch is aligned with overall IPP technology stack and enterprise guidelines

Ensure application resiliency, stability and data integrity is maintained through various technological implementations

Collaborate with Product, Arch and other Tech leads, to translate feature requirements into sound, creative designs that effectively weigh business and technical tradeoffs

Mentor and guide Engineering teams ensuring quality technical delivery

As DevSecOps Champion and Security Maven Green Belt, ensure IPP security policies are up to date, and follows best practices and share with other teams to promote Organization security culture

Expert understanding of coding languages, development framework, and knowledge of the organization and industry technology trends

Ensure stakeholders needs & expectations are met and promote transparency by helping communicate through Agile SAFe/SCRUM practices

Ensure technical components meet DevSecOps(DSO) Maturity level 5(Master) in a Behavioral Driven Development(BDD)

Ability to support and lead others to develop IIB/ACE services utilizing onshore and offshore teams

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in application program development and work experience with at least 8+ years in strong IIB/ACE Development

7+ years of experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) v10 / Application Connect Enterprise (ACE) v11

7+ years of design and development of RESTful APIs, Web services, IBM API Connect (APIc)

7+ years of experience with IBM WebSphere Message Queue (WMQ)

6+ years of experience with full CI/CD process (GitHub, Jenkins and Octopus)

5+ years of Data modeling with proficiency in JSON and XML

5+ years of experience in modern programming languages and cloud-based technologies/GCP/AWS/Azure

5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing KAFKA based solutions

5+ years of experience in Agile development practices

Preferred Qualifications

HealthCare experience and managing complex applications delivery

Experience with Individual Member Preferences, Profile, Privacy and Consent Management in the HealthCare context

Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, Data Power, RSAD and microservices architectures

Experience with building application programming interfaces (API) and frameworks in their field. Experience in API security, analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request, and response modifications

IBM certified solution developer Integration Bus or System Administrator or Solution designer

IBM certified software WebSphere developer

Expert knowledge of software engineering best practices with experience building complex software engineering products

Extensive experience with building and driving adoption of software engineering best practices

Mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines

Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices

Strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment

Strong Verbal and written Communication skills, ability to effectively communicate ideas and information to diverse audiences

Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders

Proven ability to work well in a team environment

Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals

Experience in fostering a positive team atmosphere and contributing to a cohesive work environment

EducationBachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field is required.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$130,295.00 - $260,590.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
