Department Description: The department of Clinical Informatics leverages our uniquely equipped Physician and Nurse Informaticists to promote and improve the utilization of innovative technologies consistent with the goals and objectives of clinical and strategic initiatives of the organization and to support care transformation. We serve as liaisons between Clinicians and Information Technology to align clinical standards with IT standards, and develop workflows, processes and policies. Our teams are located regionally to provide onsite support to our acute hospitals while equally engaged in serving ambulatory care, home health, care coordination, Telehealth, Analytics and other initiatives across the care continuum. Position Summary: Contributes to the overall success of the department by providing multi-dimensional complex administrative support for the Hartford Healthcare (HHC) Vice President, Chief Medical Informatics Officer, Vice President, Chief Nursing Informatics Officer, Vice President, Chief Clinical Innovation Officer Ability to work in a manner which requires self-direction, independence, discretionary judgment and professionalism. Position Responsibilities: 1. Conducts themselves according to Hartford Healthcare values: Caring , Excellence, Safety and Integrity 2. Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset, ingenuity and innovative thinking. 3. Provides proactive, efficient, and accurate administrative support to contribute to the success of senior management and the SSO department. 4. Creates and prepares correspondence, reports and presentations using most advanced Microsoft Office applications. 5. Coordinates details of projects and information gathering activities of reporting teams and business operations. 6. Organizes complex meetings involving system leadership, prepares materials, attends meetings and drafts minutes as required. 7. Develops and maintains relationships with key contacts across HHC and understands reporting relationships in order to manage work. 8. Manages department meeting schedules, agendas, HR documentation including regional staff schedules, PTO, timekeeping, travel reimbursement; supports budget process and provides weekly reports to leadership using PeopleSoft and Kronos applications. 9. Organizes and maintains files for senior leadership in a complete, accurate and timely fashion, and suggests changes to system to meet changing needs. 10. Screens correspondence, calls and visitors. Responds to complex inquiries, initiates proactive and independent action or refers to higher authority when appropriate. Tactfully communicates information. Sensitivity to confidential matters is required. 11. Assumes responsibility for self-improvement by collaborating with senior leadership and department members to identify growth opportunities and resources. Education:High School or GED required. Associates Degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years previous management level administrative assistant experience, healthcare environment preferred. Demonstrated service excellence and customer service orientation Advanced computer skills including high proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets) and technologies supporting business operations. Excellent verbal & written communication skills including drafting memos, presentations, reports. Highly effective time management and organizational skills with high degree of self-direction and independent judgment. We take great care of careers.
