Imagine loving what you do and where you do it.Target Openings 1Job Description Summary Travelers has an exciting opportunity for an experienced End-user Computing Engineer to join its Infrastructure & Cloud Services team to help continue the evolution of Digital Workspace experiences at Travelers. You will work with a dynamic and highly productive team that focuses on ensuring that our technology provides great user experiences. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the activities performed related to engineering support, installation and operations of infrastructure technologies. Plans at a strategic level and manages the effective use of technology resources for assigned projects and functions. Develops and implements appropriate solutions that may involve multiple platforms, databases, software/hardware technologies and tools. Facilitates and participates in the design and development of complex workplace platforms. Travelers offers a hybrid work location model that is designed to support flexibility. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities- Work with our vendors and team to select and acquire our new laptops and peripherals
- Keep the devices up to date leveraging enterprise grade software deployment tools
- Work to solve problems with hardware or the software running on the hardware
- Research and create solutions to leverage technologies that are new to Travelers and deploy them to the fleet.
- Plan and coordinate platform upgrades and change management
- Participate in multiple aspects of delivery lifecycle which includes technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of Unified Communication technologies
- Leverages infrastructure technology to develop and/or redesign technology solutions.
- Builds, leverages, and maintains effective partnerships across technical and business community.
- Seen as a technical expert within service delivery organization (SDO) and consults across SDOs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience, plus five years of experience in Technology required;
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in CS or a related field and three years of work experience in Technology
- Seven years of experience in Technology preferred.
- Two years of experience as a technical lead preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Network, Database, Server, Storage etc. preferred.
- Ability to work with and manage hardware vendor relationships
- Deep understanding of end user hardware and peripherals and how they work together
- Deep understanding of the Windows 10 OS and of hardware driver installation, configuration, and maintenance on the operating system.
