Our client, an industry-leading household and personal care product manufacturer, is seeking a Technical Customer Service Representative with mechanical aptitude to support their product helpline. Seeking an individual who can assist customers with making choices about best products to use and to troubleshoot through mechanical situations. This organization supports candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset and seeks to provide career-long growth and opportunity. This is a mostly remote position, requiring 1 day on site per week.

SALARY/HOURLY RATE:

$22 – $28/hr depending on experience

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Technical Customer Service Representative will act as a product expert and respond in a timely manner to technical inquiries using phone, email, and web chats. The Technical Customer Service Representative requires some mechanical savvy, but will be provided training on the product lines they will be supporting. Strong customer service skills necessary, in addition to technical acumen.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TECHNICAL CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:

Provide timely and positive customer service through phone, email, and chat

Talking customers through product options and providing technical support for those products

On site technical training as needed

Collaborate across departments while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE TECHNICAL CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:

Ability to work remotely and independently

Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to customers

Technical or mechanical aptitude/Hands-on experience preferred

Customer service skills, positive attitude

Some product knowledge helpful

Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Good follow through when addressing customer issues and when to escalate

French language a plus

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in technical field or College Degree in Trades is required
