Description Robert Half is scouting out talented Desktop Support Technicians who are able to relay difficult technical information to non-technical users in an easily understandable and concise format. This Desktop Support Analyst position, which is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity, is located in the New Haven, Connecticut, area.Your responsibilities in this role
Offer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
Fix computer problems, and recommend appropriate action/solutions
Create records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
Retain, investigate, and restore computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
Interface regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
Administer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
Arrange hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors Requirements - Desktop support or related experience
Good understanding of Active Directory
Quality experience with Facility
Practical knowledge of Troubleshoot
Customer service experience
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Word
General familiarity with Vendors
Solid understanding of Operating System
Previous experience working with Deskside Support
Comprehension of Best Practices
Wide ranging experience with travel
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Experience with Microsoft Office Suites
Earlier work involving Microsoft Windows
Strong familiarity with Interpersonal Skills
Experience with Proficiency
Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Outlook
Skills in Execute
Foundational knowledge in Defect Management
Procedures experience
Office Functions experience required
Policy experience
Knowledge of Windows OS
Prior experience with configuration management
Solid understanding of Compliance Functions
Hands-on experience with Resolve Issues
