Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join the growing team for a fast-growing organization located in Greenwich, Connecticut. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing accounting support to the Real Estate Development department, managing bank transactions, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate records. You will also handle bank and intercompany reconciliations, job costing, and general ledger management. Responsibilities: Process monthly bank requisitions related to development deals Assist the Accounts Payable associate in invoice processing promptly Carry out Bill Back requests to partners Work with team members to guide cash transactions Undertake bank reconciliations when required Carry out reconciliations between companies Supervise job costing and corresponding reconciliations Oversee the General Ledger, making necessary entries Interpret loan documents Lend a hand with special projects when necessaryRequirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
