The Lead Eating Disorder Technician (Lead ED Tech) is responsible for assisting and supporting patients through the entire treatment experience from admission through discharge. Lead ED Tech is responsible for contributing insightful, practical, and meaningful information to the treatment planning process. Lead ED Tech responsibilities primarily include ensuring patient safety, providing milieu interventions, leading psychoeducational groups, and providing training to onboarding techs.Essential Job FunctionsSupports the Executive with day-today tasksSupports in the patient intake process and completes all necessary paperwork and consent forms with patients and their loved ones.Supports in maintaining inventory of household and office supplies and assures the facility is appropriately stocked.Supports in the oversight of the maintenance of the facility and provides weekly feedback to the Executive Director regarding any environment of care issues.Completes and/or ensures completion of monthly medical record reviews, ensuring compliance with the company Medical Record Review Policy. Provides feedback and retraining as indicated to address deficiencies identified in the monthly medical record reviews. Supports patient during admission processes. This may include checking in patient belongings, acclimating patient to the program and milieu.Assists and supports patients in day-to-day activities including, but not limited to: waking routines, morning hygiene, meals, nighttime routine, evening hygiene, bathroom observations, and free time.Provides milieu management throughout the treatment experience and communicates with all team members.Manages staff schedulingResponsible for facilitating psychoeducational groups for the expected length of time identified in the program schedule.Assists with discharge process.Works during meal periods to provide supervision and support to patientsMay engage with clinician to carry out clinical interventions within the milieu setting.Performs any other assigned and/or requested duties.Participates in technician on-call rotation 12 weeks per year. Stipends available for shifts covered outside of schedule as well as overtime opportunity.Location is our Fairfield, CT Residential Eating Disorder program serving Adult Women-identifying and Non-binary patients. Schedule is Tuesday-Saturday 12pm-8pm unless schedule shifts are more supportive to programming needs.For a virtual tour of the facility, please visit our website at centerfordiscovery.com.
