Description We are a reputable travel company seeking a Tour Operations Specialist fluent in both English and Spanish for a contract-to-hire role in Darien, CT. The successful candidate will plan, develop and implement itineraries, while overseeing reservations, transportation and accommodations, ensuring exceptional travel experiences. You will communicate with clients, suppliers, and our internal team in both languages, swiftly resolving any issues and continuously improving our offerings. Prior experience in tourism is preferred, alongside excellent organization, problem-solving skills, and customer service abilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about travel and committed to enhancing customer experiences.Responsibilities: Develop, plan, and execute operational itineraries for tours Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal team members in both English and Spanish Oversee reservations, travel arrangements, transportation, accommodation, and tour guides Ensure the best travel experiences by solving any potential issues Proactively suggest and implement improvements to tour plans based on feedback and personal evaluation Collaborate with other departments to ensure all tour operations run smoothly Maintain an open line of communication across all levels of the operation, providing updates and information as required Use customer service skills to provide outstanding customer service Utilize computer skills for efficient operation and management Use Spanish language skills to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients and team members.Requirements Proven experience in an operations role within the travel industry Strong customer service skills and experience in a client-facing role Demonstrable computer skills, including proficiency in using office software and online booking systems Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours when required Knowledge of travel industry regulations and practices would be advantageous Professionalism and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
