Description Our client, a leading commercial construction company is hiring a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join their team as an Accounts Payable Specialist.As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and fostering positive relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Key Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of invoices (70+ per week) accurately and efficiently
Review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies
Work closely with vendors to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues
Prepare and process payments via various methods including ACH, checks, and credit cards
Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding balances as needed
Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting as required
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient payment processes
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Industry experience in construction or related field preferred but not required
Sense of humor and ability to have fun!
