Description Our client is in a period of growth and seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a knack for numbers, a strong sense of business ethics, and an unwavering eye for detail. The primary function of this role is to manage and oversee all accounts payable activities, ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely and efficient manner.Responsibilities:
Accurately process all accounts payable transactions while keeping precise records
Review and verify invoices and check requests
Sort, code, and match invoices to purchase orders
Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Manage and maintain vendor files
Perform check runs, prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
Ensure that a system of internal control around accounts payable is maintained and contribute to its continuous improvement
Assist in month-end closing procedures, audit work and year-end close activities

Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role
Highly conscientious and diligent with an exceptional eye for detail
Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
Ability to handle sensitive, complex, and confidential information with discretion
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and accounting software programs
Excellent analytic, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
