Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering Disney’s entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and handling a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also leads technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.Job Summary:The Senior Product Manager II, Technical Product Strategy serves to bridge the gap between Content Distribution organizations, which include business, operations, and engineering teams that service Disney properties across sports, news, and entertainment brands. While this role does not lead a product, they will be involved in the evolution and transformation of products through their employment of proficient skills in data discovery and analysis, business case development, critical thinking, opportunity identification, developing relationships, and expertly documented communications.This resource leads discovery activities as assigned by executive leadership, using their breadth of tools to deliver artifacts that advise decision-making and strategic direction that optimize business value and drive new insights.They will lead by influence across multiple cross-functional teams, including multiple pillars of DE&E Technology and is required to navigate nuanced organizational structures and a matrixed environment; gaining trust and consensus, and effectively managing execution across all levels, including dealing directly with pillar executive leadership.This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills. Understanding of the tools, technologies, processes, and methodologies employed by product development teams in the development of interactive software.

Ability to work with software and hardware engineering teams to deliver sophisticated, efficient, and timely solutions.

Self-starter who can work autonomously and as part of a team, collaborating toward the same goal.

The ability to self-prioritize with competing priorities.

Ability to quickly and seamlessly context switch between initiatives and be comfortable with regular re-prioritization.

Develop and maintain comprehensive technical and organizational roadmaps that align with the Content Distribution and overall business strategy.

Stay abreast of media and entertainment industry and technical trends, advancements, and best practices to drive continuous innovation.

Effectively communicate technical strategies, progress, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical collaborators.

Hold teams accountable to key metrics to assess the success of initiatives.

Provide leadership across functional pillars and partner organizations to execute changes.

Become a student-of-the-game, demonstrating command of the technical range of the Content Operations organization, including content platforms, technical services, distribution operations, and international technology and operations.

Craft narratives around organizational efficiency and business impact of related efforts.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:Minimum

BA/BS or equivalent experience.

5+ years of relevant working experience across Product Management, Operations, Data, Media & Entertainment, Technology, or a consulting role.

Experience in working in a matrixed environment, leading multiple partners, and possess leadership presence / gravitas.

Demonstrated ability to lead transformation and change initiatives from idea through outcome.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, to technical and non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement tactically.

Proven experience in technical product management or strategy roles within the technology industry.

Preferred

3+ years consulting experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, California and Bristol CT is $149,300-$200,200

per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
