Oncology Dietitian will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to guide and support the patient’s nutrition across the continuum of the cancer experience. A member of Yale New Haven Health, Park Avenue Medical Center is located 8 miles northwest of Bridgeport Hospital.Start with 3 weeks’ vacation and 3 personal days!Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewal!Money toward continuing education events!Up to $5000 tuition reimbursement annually!The successful candidate will:
assess, develop, and implement individualized care plans for patients throughout all stages of their cancer care;
provide individualized counseling to patients during infusion as well as in-office consults;
facilitate group support classes with interdisciplinary team;
collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members/departments to determine, coordinate, and provide medical nutrition therapy;
perform quality improvement initiatives related to patient care & be outcome focused; and
function as a preceptor in support of the dietetic internship program.
