Accounting Manager

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in greater Litchfield County, Connecticut. In this role, you will be tasked with examining and assessing financials, comparing them to prior years, reconciling discrepancies, and preparing for year-end and audit. This role is based in the non-profit sector and requires proficiency in QuickBooks Online.Responsibilities: Assess financials and compare them to prior years to identify patterns and trends. Reconcile discrepancies in the financial records and ensure that all supporting backup is correct. Reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records. Prepare for year-end audit by getting the finances in solid shape. Utilize QuickBooks Online for accounting functions. Execute Account Reconciliation to maintain accurate records.Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in an accounting management role or similar position. Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Proficiency in Quickbooks Online is MUST HAVE Must be adept at Account Reconciliation. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
