The Cutter will work closely with the design and production teams to meet project deadlines while maintaining precision and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Accurately cut fabric according to patterns and specifications provided by the design team.
Utilize various cutting tools and machines, ensuring safety and efficiency during the cutting process.
Collaborate with team members to draft patterns and make necessary adjustments based on design changes.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use.
Inspect cut pieces for quality assurance, identifying any defects or discrepancies before they proceed to the next stage of production.
Provide feedback on fabric quality and suggest improvements for future projects based on hands-on experience.
Assist in training new employees on cutting techniques and machine operation as needed.
Qualifications
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues with cutting machines.
Familiarity with drafting patterns is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
