The CounterKULTURE Design Studio is hiring a fabricator position. We are the largest producer of decorative concrete and steel elements in the region with work all over the southwest, Telluride and Aspen.
This position is a hands on role in the fabrication of various concrete and steel elements for customers homes and businesses. This position is responsible for mold fabrication, casting, processing, sealing and installing concrete countertops, sinks and fireplace surrounds.
A qualified applicant will have a background in carpentry, fabrication and/or welding in a shop environment. Decorative concrete experience not necessary as we will train the right person in our craft. Other solid surface/countertop fabrication, welding and fine home building experience a plus. An eye for detail, strong work ethic and readiness to get each job done up to our high standards is expected. Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs. regularly and be on your feet all day. Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license. Lots of room for growth with the company and the opportunity to learn an artisan craft.
Typical shop schedule is 8 am - 5 pm Monday - Thursday with some fluctuations around workflow and travel. Most work is in the shop with travel to Telluride, Aspen and the surrounding area for templates and installations. Starting pay is DOE but will be between $20-25 per hour with lots of opportunity for rapid advancement for a motivated individual after learning their way around our trade.
