Dance Initiative is a Roaring Fork Valley nonprofit with consistent, powerful, comprehensive turn-key dance programming and a wonderfully vibrant community and we are hiring for the position of Executive Director.

We’re looking for a dynamic self starter who has at least 3 years of nonprofit experience and history in development and fundraising. To be a good fit for this role, you are someone who loves developing strong and lasting relationships with artists and community members, you thrive while bringing performance, education, and collaboration to the masses of the Roaring Fork Valley, you can handle multi-tasking, and you are an expert communicator who loves how the creative spirit grows amidst boundaries. You aren’t afraid of budgets, numbers, and tracking/organizational systems.

Duties

Board of Directors governance: Coordinates with board of directors to fulfill the organizational mission.

Financial performance and viability for the organization: Develops resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization.

Organizational mission and strategy: Works with board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning, community outreach, and marketing.

Day to day operations: Oversees and implements appropriate resources to ensure that the operations of the organization are appropriate, including ensuring all programs are running smoothly, marketing and communications, administration, and non-profit c-corp compliance.
