We offer interviews with owners of often high end working and Dude ranches from all over the United States for approved participants of our Colorado Training Center for Outfitters, Horsemen,Outdoorsmen and Ranchers who successfully complete our clinics. Please understand this is NOT A JOB OFFER! We will only connect approved participants with ranch employers who successfully complete our Colorado Training Center clinics.
Our clinics operate at our spectacular Montrose Ranch from May 1st through various spring /summer months until November, each year. All on site meals, accommodation, tuition and text books are provided.
Our clinics are designed to incorporate comprehensive training in several areas of western style horseback riding, wilderness packing skills, camp cooking, guiding, navigation, fishing and personal outdoor training. Our participants enjoy combined indoor and outdoor classroom and hands on outdoor experience. They also plan and facilitate a scenic (2) Day wilderness overnight pack trip. Following completion of our clinics, starting pay can be up to $2,400, including food and accommodation, depending upon your ranch employer. Previous participants often call us to let us know how they are doing and to thank us for their great jobs. After we recommended one of our 2022 participants, he got his " dream job" at a resort in Waldon, Colorado guiding hunters into valleys full of hundreds of elk.
Since our class sizes are small and positions are offered on a first come first served basis, we suggest you book early.
