XtreamInternet and Role Overview:
XtreamInternet is an internet service provider based in Colorado. Founded in 2013, the company currently serves approximately 2,000 customers located in Castle Rock, Gunnison, and Crested Butte. For the past 10 years, our ethos has been providing reliable broadband connections in hardto-reach, rural communities – with an emphasis on delivering excellent customer service. Our customers include residents, hospitals, non-profits, public works, utilities, cultural centers, and businesses throughout these communities.
In August of 2023, the company was acquired by Ben Brown and Trip Williams, who worked together for over a decade covering some of the largest telecommunications companies globally. Ben and Trip operate as Co-CEOs and are looking to lead the company to its next chapter of growth, which will be driven by expansion of the fixed wireless business and executing on largescale, fiber-optic bulk internet partnerships.
The Junior Field Technician should expect to work in a fast paced, exciting work environment, with meaningful responsibility over the Gunnison and Crested Butte markets.
Mission:
To be a trustworthy and reliable ambassador of the company in our customers’ homes. To deliver the best possible customer experience via the successful configuration and installation of Wireless and Fiber CPE, cabling, and Wi-Fi networks. To maximize wireless coverage of all customer premises. To assist in the maintenance and upgrades of wireless and fiber macro sites, micro pops, repeater sites, and infrastructure, including PTP (backhaul), PTMP (access points), and related equipment (routers, switches, etc.). To creatively execute site surveys that maximize installations. To care for and respect company equipment and inventory. To be a team player and
help others when needed.

2. To be on-time, responsive/communicative, accountable, and dependable M-F, 8am-5pm MT
3. To be available, responsive, dependable and willing to contribute to after-hours (5-8pm) and weekends monitoring (8am-8pm) and events that require on-ground support (outages, etc.)
4. To achieve a 99.5% physical infrastructure uptime in the Gunnison and Crested Butte market
5. To achieve a 90.0%+ site survey to serviceability ratio
6. Ensure that 95.0% of tasks are completed within their allotted time frames
7. To maintain prompt, thorough, and accurate account of all field appointments + inventory in Sonar

Qualifications:
1. Ability to work 5 days a week, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm MT, in-person in Gunnison and Crested Butte markets
2. Ability to cover monitoring and on-call 1x a week (5-8pm) plus every third weekend of the month (8am-8pm)
3. Ability to commute to Castle Rock for larger infrastructure projects if and as needed (this will be low frequency, e.g. maybe once a quarter, travel etc. is paid by company)
4. Valid drivers license and ability to safely climb ladders
5. Willing to obtain tower climbing certification
6. Passing drug test and background check
Role Benefits & Pay:
1. Compensation:
a. First 3-6 months: $22.50-25.00 / hour
b. Thereafter: $27.50-30.00 / hour; pay increase will occur when field technician is able to consistently perform site surveys, installations, and service calls on their own
