Summary: Table to Farm Compost (T2F) is looking for two route drivers, one to conduct a residential route in Durango and one to conduct a commercial route in both Pagosa Springs and Durango, as well as a smaller residential route in Pagosa. The commercial driver will also deliver carbon, including wood chips and leaves, to the T2F Facility as well as beer mash from Ska Brewing Company.
Residential Route Driver: The Residential Route Driver will complete daily curbside pick-up of 5 gallon green buckets throughout Durango and La Plata County. The position works Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm with approximately 130 locations serviced each day.
Responsibilities
-Curbside pick-up of 5 gallon green buckets
-Utilization of StopSuite application on an Android phone (provided) to track successful services and collect data as appropriate
-Prepare the truck for the day with needed supplies such as buckets, sawdust and compost dividends
-Create the route each day using StopSuite on a laptop
-Communicate with staff on equipment and supply needs as well as any route edits or updates needed
-On-site composting assistance with the Farm Manager Manager as needed
Commercial Route Driver: The Commercial Route Driver will conduct a limited residential route in Pagosa Springs one day a week, commercial routes in both Pagosa and Durango twice a week, and Ska beer mash deliveries once to twice a week. The driver will also transport carbon to the facility for use in the compost process, including chips and leaves, as time permits.
Responsibilities
-Curbside pick-up of compost totes at commercial facilities
-Utilization of StopSuite application on an Android phone (provided) to track successful services and collect data as appropriate
-Transportation of carbon (wood chips and leaves) from sites throughout southwest Colorado to compost facility
-Transportation of beer mash from Ska Brewing to T2F facility
-Work with commercial operations on logistics and pick-ups
-Managing of tote pick up and cleaning for commercial customers
-Communicate with staff on equipment and supply needs
-On-site composting assistance with the Farm Manager as needed
Qualifications for Both Positions
-Commitment to 1 year or more in the position
-Have a cell phone and valid U.S. Driver’s License
-CDL preferred, but not required
-Access to a laptop and willingness to communicate via online platforms such as Slack and Google Drive
-Interest in compost and waste reduction
-Good communications skills
-Commit to 2-3 days of training with Ska, current Route Driver and Farm Manager
-Ability to lift heavy equipment and drive a truck and trailer (or learn to do so)
-Willingness to work independently
