Meat Processing - Butcher /Meat Cutter/ Packer/ Meat Processor

Small but very busy USDA inspected meat processing facility looking for a meat processor. Full USDA meat processing operation from harvest to packaging. Multiple species, cattle, swine, sheep, goat. This position harvests, quarters, and prepares cuts. Working with an experienced team this position is involved with all aspects of processing. This position works in an indoor cooled/cold environment. Gloves, smock, and head covering are provided. Standing, and lifting packaged boxes, and entry into freezer is required. End of shift clean up and other tasks are required. Position requires steady paced work and attention to detail. Additional training will be provided, and wage is based on experience. Ideal candidates will have some practical butcher experience, either in grocery store, meat packing, or restaurants. Knife skills, and knowledge of meat cuts, wrapping skills and equipment familiarity will be evaluated when determining compensation level. Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license is required. There are two openings for this position.
