Front of House Manager - Homestead at RVR

The Homestead, a busy Carbondale restaurant, is looking for a manager who has great multi-tasking skills and is great with people. The successful candidate is responsible for front of house team management including hiring, scheduling, training, and general supervision. Communication and coordination between the restaurant and golf services is an important role to insure a great experience for all our guests. Some small event coordination is also an element of the role. The right candidate has a positive attitude and can handle multiple tasks at once. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience in restaurant management including a diverse knowledge of bartending. In addition to hourly pay, there is some potential for tips. The restaurant is seasonal (Apr-December).

Responsibilities:

Operational Management –

· Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

· Develop floor plans and workflows.

· Understand and navigate the ForeUP Point of Sale system and be able to effectively handle returns and issues when they arise.

· Assist with identifying Homestead ordering needs (beverages, golf snacks and equipment).

· Assist with maintaining all alcohol and beverage inventory levels and perform monthly beverage inventories.

· Provide management with creative suggestions on how the department can improve in all areas of service and coordination.

Staff Management – Key Component

· Recruit, train, schedule and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders and server assistants.

· Foster a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and provide ongoing support and feedback to staff members. High Staff morale is a priority.

· Create, manage and enforce all front-of-house staff scheduling using Sling.

· Pick up occasional bar or server shifts when it is helpful or necessary.

Customer Service –

· Uphold and promote a customer-centric approach, ensuring that guests have a positive and memorable dining experience.

· Address customer concerns and feedback promptly, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties involved.

· Maintain professional appearance and ensure all front-of-house staff appearance are in line.

Events –

· Execute all aspects of private events, working as liaison between event host and management (6-10 events during Summer season).

· Coordinate and book holiday events using the events schedule.

· Ensure staffing and setup is efficient for all Homestead hosted events.
