Seeking a campground host to work from approx. April 30 to Sept 22 at one of our smaller campgrounds located 15 miles from Durango. Position requires employee to live on site in a camper/rv/conversion van/bus, etc. You'll have time to enjoy the nearby trails and outdoor recreation. Pay is $14.42/hour plus includes the site for free. There is no power at the location and no water on site, though we deliver water for the host. There is sewer at the host site for wastewater.
The location is best suited to someone set up to be off-grid who wants to live a laid back lifestyle with plenty of personal time. This location pays an additional stipend of $124/month to compensate for the off-grid nature of it. The campground is your typical US Forest Service Campground with tall pines and basic sites that include tables, fire rings, vault toilets.
Host is responsible for cleaning sites and toilets, ensuring guest registrations and fee payment, paperwork, assisting guest with questions, etc. Hosts get two days off per week. The job has flexible hours and a variable schedule. This requires someone who has time management skills to complete the work within the allocated time of 20 hours per week. There is 18 camp sites and one double-vault toilet at the location.
