For more information, visit http://www.ball.com/aerospace, Facebook or Twitter.Qualifications:Supply Chain Administrator IIThe Supply Chain Administrator will serve as a valued and engaged assistant to the Senior Director of Supply Chain, and a value-add contributor to the day-to-day operations of the Ball Aerospace supply chain organization. The qualified candidate will need to professionally and confidently interact with senior level executives internal to Ball Aerospace as well as externally at supplier partners as a representative of the Supply Chain Senior Director and Ball Aerospace. The SC Administrator will perform in partnership with leadership and independently to help maintain a positive team dynamic, and environment of trust within this rapidly growing & changing organization.What you’ll do:

Correspondence preparation: typing or editing emails, memos and other correspondence generated by the Senior Director of SC, and also write emails, letters and reports in response to cross-functional requests or to send “On Behalf Of” the SC Sr. Director.

Meeting and calendar management: managing the highly fluid calendar of the Sr Director of SC, to include schedule meetings, prepare agendas, operate audio-visual systems during meetings, record minutes and ensure that meetings don’t exceed time limits. The SC administrator may also have need to hold their own meetings to coordinate data collection and/or completion of assigned tasks.

Travel preparation: schedule flights, make hotel reservations and coordinate out-of-town meetings, complete and process expense reports for the SC Sr. Director and other members of the SC leadership team, as might be required.

Event management: candidate will be required to obtain a company credit card to procure approved supplies, schedule events, conferences, dinners and team retreats on-site within Ball facilities or at offsite venues. This may, at times, extend to events and personnel at Ball Aerospace locations outside Colorado.

Employee supervision: This position will have supervisory responsibility over one or more junior-level administrative assistants in the Supply Chain organization.

Conceive and develop solutions to administrative problems through the applications of professionally accepted administrative techniques, practices and procedures.

May prepare and be responsible for Supply Chain metrics, material forecasts, Operations Status and other recurring, functional reports.

Prepare appropriate requests, disseminate information and gather / format responses regarding internal or external taskers, events or inquiries.

Develop plans, cost estimates, and forecasts to support departmental requirements.

Recommend, interpret, and implement company and internal administrative policies and procedures.

May coordinate and/or supervise work with other activities, resolve conflicts, interpret policy, determine, recommend, and/or implement creative solutions.

May interview junior administrator candidates and recommend hiring.

Maintain required records and reports, SharePoint sites and network filing systems in accordance with Ball Aerospace policies and government regulations.

Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Perform other duties as necessary.

What you’ll need:

BS/BA in related field plus 2 years or more related experience.

Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education

Excellent organizational skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work well with people at all levels within the company.

Good spelling and grammar skills and mastery of word processing, database and presentation software

Working knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the use of Microsoft Office tool suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)

Polished, professional mannerisms, work ethic and ability to handle sensitive information while being counted on to maintain confidentiality.

Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task, drive actions to timely closure and ability to solve problems independently.

Effective communication skills, both written and oral. Demonstrated confidence to reach out and develop relationships with others without requiring introduction.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Prior experience supporting a supply chain, sales or marketing organization where regular interaction was required coordinating with parties external to the company preferred.

A good sense of humor and the ability to defuse tense situations, as might be required.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office environment.

Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
