Apply today to learn more and join the team!A Brief OverviewThe Sr. Representative, Mortgage Loan Origination will be responsible for proactively developing quality customer relationships and cross-selling other FirstBank products, primarily through inbound customers and delegated opportunities. The Sr. Representative will develop skills related to customer development and refine their loan originating skills while working with inbound customers and delegated opportunities. The Sr. Representative is expected to expand customer relationships by cross-selling the banks products and services, whereby they will receive credit towards their Total Products Sold (TPS) goal. The Sr. Representative learns and begins to identify, develop, and maintain a quality network of business relationships that serve as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.What you will do

Understand and be able to explain all mortgage products to customers

Become proficient with down payment assistance programs

Understand loan process and work efficiently with other departments through loan closing

Communicate with customers and realtors effectively

Enter data into Salesforce and LRMS

Conduct interviews with current and prospective borrowers, including walk-in mortgage loan inquiries

Build customer relationships through cross-selling additional bank products throughout loan process.

Deliver exceptional customer service

Gather, store, and analyze information and financial documentation

Practice sound lending judgment and develop understanding of loan policy and agency underwriting guidelines

Order insurance, appraisals, and condo questionnaires

Close loans as needed at the branch or title company

Prepare correspondence logs and adequately document loan files

Continually train on new products, services, and regulation changes

Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Understand and comply with all provisions of the Safety in the Workplace policy

Minimum Requirements

Typically requires a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of related experience

Bilingual in Mandarin and English

Preferred Requirements

2 or 4-year degree, with training in professionalism and grammar etiquette

Existing involvement in the community

New Accounts or cross-sell experience

Previous sales experience

Knowledge of FirstBank’s products and services

Bilingual in English and Spanish /or other non-English language as identified in each location

Consultative sales and financial products sales experience

Previous experience with and working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems such as SalesForce

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day

Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer

Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms

Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights

Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files

Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone

Must be able to exchange accurate information
