Join us in our efforts to better our community!Position Summary:As a Nursing Hospital House Supervisor you will work under the direction of the Manager of Nurse Staffing, the Director of Medical/Surgical Services and the Administrator On-Call, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of clinical activities of the hospital during your assigned shift.What you will do in this role:
You will oversee nurse staffing and ensure that there is the appropriate number and type of nursing personnel to care for the number and acuity of patients.
You will review patient care daily, visit patients regularly, making suggestions to improve care and become involved in the care of selected patients.
You will demonstrate an understanding of the budget process and staffing plan, implementing cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply management decisions.
You will participate in the monitoring, coaching, evaluating and disciplining process.
You will ensure the timely admission of patients from the Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Direct Admissions and the Access Center.
You will respond as patient advocate during off-hours to patient concerns and report these interactions to the Patient Advocacy Department.
You will respond to all CODE/RRT situations throughout the facility.
What qualifications you will need:
Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Three years minimum experience in acute care preferred.
Three years minimum supervisory experience.
