Our busy Dermatology practice is looking for a Full-Time and a Part-Time Front Desk Administrator to join our team!Duties:Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accountsWelcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone and answering or referring inquiriesOptimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephoneKeeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying clinical staff of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding clinic staff of service delaysComforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient recordsMaintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial informationObtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording, and collecting patient co-pays and account balancesCoordinates with Insurance companies, referring medical offices and Pathology LabsProtects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial informationMaintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changesContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededAttains and maintains mastery level knowledge of all assigned medical practices, including provider/clinic schedules, patient scheduling preferences, and scope of services offeredPerforms duties independently, and in collaboration with team, asking for assistance from peers and/or supervisors as neededObtains required information such as insurance cards and driver’s licenses; obtains consent to treat, releases of information, and other required paperwork from 100% of patientsTakes ownership of the patient check in process, verifies appointments via EHR practice management system; explains next steps in patient appointment flowAverages a minimum of 95% registration accuracy; enters information consistently following established guidelines; information is not only accurate, but also consistently uniform (i.e. uses upper- and lower-case type appropriately, enters complete phone numbers, etc.) Handles patients and others with tact; utilizes de-escalation techniques and knows when to disengage and ask for managementQualifications: Exceptional customer service and phone etiquetteAbility to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flowExcellent computer skillsMust be able to remain in a stationary position (80%) of the timeJob Type: 8:00 am –6:00 pm 4 days per week depending on the needs of the clinic Experience:1+ year(s) of Front Desk Administrative experience (required)Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHA regulation (preferred)EMR experience (preferred))Dermatology experience (preferred)Education:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Certifications/Licenses:N/APay:Pay ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour based on years of experience.
