Department InformationThe purpose of Facilities Management is to provide a safe, secure and functional campus environment through the maintenance of all campus buildings, campus grounds, life safety systems, electronic systems, low voltage systems and utilities for the enhancement of the learning environment and the level of human safety and comfort. This position shall assist Facilities Administration and the CSU Pueblo project team on campus electronic systems and related software applications through technical expertise, guidance and recommendations. This position is critical to the success of this Facilities Management division as the University continues to renovate and upgrade campus buildings and technologies into more of an auditable, automated and electronic format.PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:Perform Reactive Maintenance on Campus Electronic SystemsEmployee will respond to reactive maintenance work orders as assigned by their Supervisor. This may include: ADA automatic door operator systems, CBORD access control, electronic access door locks and programming, campus scoreboards and audio systems, campus elevator systems, fire sprinklers, fire pumps, fire stand pipe controls, fire clean agent systems and related software applications. Employee will maintain, troubleshoot, test, repair and replace electronic components in order to address the work order need. Employee will also be responsible for the maintenance and record-keeping of electronic software applications. Because of the health and safety risks posed by malfunctioning electronic systems on campus, this employee will sometimes be required to report to work, even on days when campus is closed.Perform Preventive Maintenance on Campus Electronic SystemsEmployee will fulfill the Colorado State University Pueblo Electronic Preventive Maintenance program as assigned by their Supervisor. This may include supporting other teams such as the Mechanical team with electronic components of mechanical systems or supporting individuals such as the campus locksmith on door and access concerns.
