The Henderson mine is an underground molybdenum mining operation located approximately 42 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire. It has been in operation since 1976 and today consists of a large block-cave, underground mining complex feeding a concentrator with a current capacity of approximately 32,000 metric tons per day. It can produce approximately 15 million pounds of molybdenum per year. The Henderson mill is located 15 miles west of the mine, between Dillon and Kremmling. Both sites are surrounded by US Forest Service (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USForestService)  land of the Arapaho National Forest (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ArapahoNationalForest) , making it easy for our employees and their families to enjoy year-round hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing in the area. Explore the opportunity to advance your career at one of our sites – the Henderson mine or mill and live life at the top!  DescriptionHighly skilled mechanic who safely perform diagnostic, maintenance, installation and repair of crush and conveying equipment and related systems.

Performs system troubleshooting, maintenance and component removal, repair and installation of jaw and gyratory crushers, vibratory screens, conveyors, dust suppression/collection systems, mobile conveying systems ext.

Performs mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance such as changing filters in the dust collection systems, checking screens, oil levels and lubrication systems.

Prioritizes and makes decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.

Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspections.

Trains and mentors other employees.

Performs advanced welding and fabrication.

May operate mobile equipment such as: Forklifts, cranes, and boom trucks.

Performs as a Fill-in Supervisor as required.

Performs other duties as required.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

Two (2) years’ experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.

Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required mechanical aptitude.

FPM Diagnostic Mechanic I: The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and technical skills while achieving 35% score on a written assessment where required. This exam is based on technical skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety. Must be able to demonstrate proficient basic welding skills.

Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English

Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

This is a Safety sensitive role

While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, see and work in confined spaces

Occasionally may be asked required to life moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday

May be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation

Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

What We Offer YouThe estimated pay range for this role is currently  $27.50 - $37.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
