Job Description:The inventory control specialist will be responsible for managing a team of 2 members immediately, with more team members expected to be hired on in the coming months. This individual will be working with the Finance leader to manager inventory, and will utilize inventory management software and Microsoft Excel to track numbers.Main Job Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials, finished products, and production supplies.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
Read and interpret technical documentation, such as product specifications and labeling, to understand the specific storage and handling requirements for various medical components, devices, and packaging.
Collaborate with production, quality control, and shipping departments to ensure timely availability of materials for production and shipment.
Analyze inventory data to identify and address any issues such as stock shortages or excess inventory.
Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures.
Train and supervise inventory control staff and material handlers.
Monitor and report on inventory performance metrics such as turnover rate and stock accuracy.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline inventory management processes.
Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Related Field
Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control, (medical device industry preferred)
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Knowledge of GMPs and FDA regulations
