The foundation of a connected world, it’s a network free of the limitations of the past, and flexible enough to satisfy all the social, economic and transformative needs of the changing world.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesBoost Mobile is seeking a motivated Linux Engineer I to assist in the management and optimization of our Linux-based environments. In this role, you will support automation efforts through Ansible within both private and AWS cloud-native settings. This position combines foundational system administration with operational support, contributing to the reliability, security, and efficiency of our infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:

Assist in administering Linux operating systems and AWS resources for optimal performance and security

Support application deployment and automation using Ansible playbooks across Linux environments

Develop a strong understanding of AWS services (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, S3, Kubernetes)

Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration with GitLab to automate workflows and deployment

Assist in automating system monitoring, upgrades, and security patches for high availability

Collaborate with teams to document processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve system architecture

Skills, Experience and RequirementsEducation and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education

Up to two years of experience managing Linux platforms in private cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments

Skills and Qualifications:

Basic experience with Linux systems in cloud environments, including application deployment and container orchestration

Familiarity with Ansible for automation and basic YAML playbook creation

Understanding of Kubernetes concepts, networking, and persistent storage management

Effective written and verbal communication for documentation and teamwork

Basic programming or scripting experience with Python, Perl, or BASH

Familiarity with container runtimes (Docker, containerd) and Kubernetes workloads
