Summary This vacancy is for a Talent Outreach Specialist position in the Denver Regional Office located in Lakewood, CO. This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Talent Outreach Specialist, GS-0301-12, FPL-12, positions within the Census Bureau in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience. Responsibilities Develops, organizes, manages and implements the recruitment program, activities and functions of the Schedule A employees and the Regional Office. Develops a strategic plan for recruitment programs, operations, and goals for the Regional Office. Conducts or participates in group recruiting sessions. Analyzes and monitors progress, performance and cost data of a recruitment program to ensure recruitment operations are within specified time limits and budget constraints. Specialized Experience: For GS-12, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service Experience for this position includes developing and implementing a recruitment plan to meet staffing requirements; identifying recruitment sources to generate a diverse pool of applicants; developing recruitment material; developing, preparing, monitoring, and maintaining recruitment program files and reports; and implementing cost-effective procedures. Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
