Responsibilities for thisRegistered Nurseopportunity include, but are not limited to:
Provide and coordinate care by assessing the physical and behavioral health needs of patients
Maintain medical records and educates patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions
Administer psychiatric medications and monitor patients for therapeutic effects and side effects
Respond to psychiatric emergencies and crises, implementing appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety
Handle de-escalations and restraints, if necessary, following facility protocols
Maintains accountability of administration, recording, control, and security of medications, including narcotics
Attends and participates in the unit activities such as therapy groups, family meetings as appropriate, staffing, unit meetings, etc
Be willing to float to any unit within the facility, which may include a combination of adult and adolescent psychiatric units
Adhere to the unit's patient-to-staff ratio, ensuring that the team's ratio is within the allowed limit of 1:18
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RN REGISTERED NURSE:
1+ years of recent psychiatric/behavioral health experience
BLS issued through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Current Colorado RN license
Must be eligible to work in the United States
