Job Req #: 21-11059Job Description: Senior Salesforce DeveloperLocation: RemotePosition Type: 12+ Month Contract/ Potential Contract to hireWe are looking for a highly intellectual and disciplined Senior Salesforce Developer who will help lead the technical aspects of designing, implementing, and testing of various initiatives in the Salesforce platform. This instrumental role will work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams and will have significant engineering ownership of complex applications, including new feature work, improvements on existing code, maintaining systems excellence, and active participation in designing and shipping deliverable products. This role plays an integral part in advancing our client s modernization.What You Do
- Design, implement, test and deliver highly scalable products aligned with Business, Technology and Architecture strategies.
- Support cross systems integrations across native Salesforce eco system, as well as other cloud technologies including AWS.
- Ability to recommend when to use declarative code vs custom code using Visualforce and Apex.
- Lead improvements to our development process, culture and code base.
- Respond to evolving and changing security conditions. Implement and contribute to security guidelines.
- Design and develop CI/CD automated code delivery pipelines.
- Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics.
- Understand and apply security controls in your design and code implementation.
- Drive technical solutions that directly impact enterprise organizations and millions of customers through performance, scalability, security and quality.
- Improve application resiliency through improved design and coding practices.
- Develop technical perspectives, standards, solutions and strategies that add value to the customer experience, while reducing technical complexity.
- Generate innovative ideas and develop prototypes and proof of concepts.
- Design effective solutions with well understood tradeoffs that meet the business requirements.
- Propose new and innovative solutions to meet the fast-changing business environment.
- Document solution designs clearly and with enough details for the delivery teams to size the effort.
- Drive design and implementation focused on long-term Salesforce architecture.
- Drive long-term design thinking for systems and engineering processes with simplicity, scalability, resiliency and maintainability as core principles.
- Deliver value through a strong collaborative approach spanning multiple geographically dispersed teams.
- Mentor and develop engineers at all levels through sharing and learning.
- Be a role model for open, honest and collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Adopt and contribute to best practices, standards & guidance, then subsequently provide coaching of technology team members.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field of study.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep experience with Salesforce, Classic, Lightning, Vlocity, VisualForce, Apex, Data Raptors, OmniScript, Java Services and integration techniques.
- Expert experience with object-oriented programming and experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, C#, Ruby, Python).
- Expert experience with at least one high-level programming language and web framework (NodeJS, Express, Hapi, etc.).
- Solid understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON
- Experience in implementing and using Copado.
- Knowledgeable in modern integration methods (API Gateway/Web Services, Messaging & RESTful architectures) along with preferred experience in legacy SOAP interfaces.
- Experience with DevOps processes and tools.
- Practical experience with Agile software development and test-driven development.
- Practical experience building highly scalable web applications.
- Demonstrates continuous learning of new technologies.
- Self-motivated individual that thrives in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Financial industry preferred
