Assoc Accessibility Engineer

JOB SUMMARYTest the accessibility of products and features that directly impact the consumer experience. Participate in multiple programs/systems as a project team member.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESActively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Document QA testing plans that both meet business goals and ensure a positive user experience that meets standards.Work closely with the development teams to perform usability and Accessibility testing.Work within cross-functional team to understand expectations, priorities, and necessary deliverables.Assist in modification, enhancement, and implementation of design ideas, along with fellow team members.Participate in brainstorming sessions, and wireframe and design reviews to help solve problems.Test for basic Accessibility issues in various digital products and platforms.Test for alignment of implemented Accessibility standards across various products and platforms.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSRequired Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishBasic understanding of WCAG 2.1 Levels A and AAAbility to learn Accessibility within digital applications from concept to launchBasic knowledge of platform specific nomenclatureAbility to fully engage and collaborate with teamAbility to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stageAccessibility work Demonstrates time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when neededDemonstrates client (presentation) communication skills and the ability to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilitiesRequired EducationBachelor's Degree in Design / HCI / Related Field, or equivalent real world experienceRequired Related Work Experience and Number of YearsAccessibility experience, with at least 60% focus on testing - 1-2Experience with industry standard Accessibility technologies (such as screen-readers, screen-magnifiers, speech-dictation, etc.) - 1-2Some experience with creating highly-detailed annotated wireframes, user flows, and process flows within consumer applicationsSome experience with project estimationSome experience with planning and facilitating user research and usability tests with disabled usersWORKING CONDITIONSOffice environmentMPD338 2024-43256 2024Here, employees don’t just have jobs, they build careers. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
