- Design, build and maintain servers and datacenters on all campuses for high availability and stable environment to maintain business continuity and for a quality instructional environment.
- Monitoring and administration of physical computing infrastructure: Requires collection and analysis of device logs for indications of failure, flaws or intrusions. Planning, schedule of maintenance, and lifecycle replacement of switches, physical servers and datastores in the datacenters on all campuses.
- Requires collection and analysis of system logs for indications of failure, flaws or intrusions. Collaborate with CSO, CIO, and TechServices to provide a secure and trustworthy computing environment.
- Monitoring and administration of user account provisioning system: Requires collection and analysis of logs for indications of failure. Maintain software and adjust configurations as needed for correct operation.
- Administration of Active Directory
- Maintain backup infrastructure including Veeam backups, backup copies, and replication, storage replication, local and remote database backups. Assist database administrators as needed.
- Support & Train Technical Services techs: Complex desktop support for operating system issues that Technical Support Specialists are unable to diagnose or support. Provide training in complex systems to help TSS provide better support to their customers
- Documentation of systems, infrastructure and processes: On going recording of description, configuration and operational practices of systems, software, and infrastructure to provide traceability, improve troubleshooting of problems and provide job succession.
- VMware experience
- Network storage device experience
- Firewall configuration and maintenance experience
- Networking, administration certifications
- Experience with any of these systems: Palo Alto, Aruba, Extreme, Brocade, F5
