DescriptionPosition Title: Safety CoordinatorDepartment: SafetyLocation: Greeley, COReports to: Safety ManagerPosition Overview: The DOT Safety Coordinator supports the transportation team by ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and compliance programs. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin their career in transportation compliance and safety management.Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance Support:
Assist in maintaining compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
Assist in maintaining driver qualification files, hours of service, vehicle maintenance and other required documentation.
Support the preparation of materials for DOT audits and inspections.
Onboarding Support:
Assist in the onboarding process for new drivers, ensuring all FMCSA and DOT requirements are met.
Verify proper completion of documentation, such as medical certifications, driver qualification files, and drug and alcohol testing records.
Enter ne drivers into company systems, ensuring accurate and timely data input.
Conduct competent employment verification’s, including reviewing prior employment history and validation required qualifications.
Provide new drivers with information and resources related to company safety policies and DOT compliance expectations.
Fleet and Driver Support:
Conduct initial reviews of driver logs and inspection reports for accuracy and compliance.
Help monitor and coordinate drug and alcohol testing as required.
Support investigations of incident and accidents by gathering and organizing relevant data.
Learning and Development:
Gain knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations through hands-on experience and training.
Work close with senior safety staff to develop skills in compliance and fleet safety management.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required.
Familiarity with DOT regulations (preferred but not required).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software systems.

Base salary range of $18-$21/HR depending on experience .
