Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. Entering, posting, and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L will be among the Accounts Receivable Clerk's duties. In this Accounts Receivable Clerk position, you will need to be a self-starter with high attention to detail, in order to succeed at handling 200+ invoices a week. This is a short-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Greeley, Colorado area.Responsibilities
Be an ambassador of the mission, values, and culture of the organization
Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment
Verify documents and codes
Process payments and compile segments of annual reports and monthly closings in compliance with GAAP
Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
Balance bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a number of different ledgers Requirements - Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills
3+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Foundational knowledge in Batch Processing
Proficiency in cash applications
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
Sage MAS 500 experience desired
Aging Reports experience highly desired
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Skilled with ERP systems
Great attention to detail
Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
