Together we are on a mission to improve quality, access and convenience of orthopedic care for all!Role SummaryThe Workers Compensation Coordinator is responsible for scheduling appointments for patients by telephone or in person by entering appointment data into computerized scheduler system.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)As a key member of the workers compensation team, this individual will: Provide excellent customer service Act as a liaison for employers, insurers, and case managers Obtain additional information from referring physician(s) Fax and scan forms, documentation and office notes Obtain authorization for treatment from employer, adjuster or case manager Assist clinical staff with authorizations for procedures and surgeries Assist PAR’s with problem claims or incorrect insurance data Assist pre-verification with insurance or account questions Act as liaison between WC representative and office staff involving PT and MRI requests and authorizations Fax orders and documentation and notifying staff of authorizations or denialsRequirements:Skills & AbilitiesThe successful candidate will represent the Triumph Workers Compensation program, have a positive, helpful attitude and ability to discuss issues with physicians and relay information. Having knowledge or Workers’ compensation terminology is a plus. A responsible person, who takes initiative, exhibits a professional appearance and demonstrates the ability to communicate using acceptable business grammar will thrive in this fast-paced office. Excellent customer service and superior communication skills are mandatory. This position requires someone with flexibility that can support an office with hours that may include earlier start times and later end times. The individual must: Listen and communicate clearly to the caller or person they are assisting Maintain self-control and provide empathy when presented difficult calls from patients who might be frustrated or are in pain from their on-the-job injury Work well with others inside and outside of the department Demonstrate ability to adjust to changes in job, stress, assignments, methods, personnel, or surroundings with little difficultyRequirements 2+ years of prior experience as a Workers’ Compensation Coordinator or a similar role Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations Complete understanding of medical terminology Ability to process claims proficiently and accurately Strong attention to detail and accuracy Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational and time management skills Empathy and ability to handle sensitive situations with discretionSalary: $16.53 to $24.80/hourCompany: Panorama Orthopedics & Spine CenterJob Type: fulltimeAddress: 660 Golden Ridge Rd, Suite 250, Golden, CO, 80401
