Job Details:
Position: Systems Engineer/Fiber System

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Golden, CO

Required/desired skills:

) Three years of fiber optic experience that included field work troubleshooting, making repairs, locating, and maintaining equipment.

) Must provide tools necessary to complete the job (fiber optic splice machine, prefer fujikura 50S or better, OTDR, hand tools, splice vehicle or tent, power meter and light source test kit, and a fiber identifier)

) Good troubleshooting skills are necessary to rapidly track down issues across the entire state of 1500+ miles of fiber optic line.

) Knowledge and experience with traffic control and proper protocols for working on the roadside near traffic.

) Strong attention to technical detail and accuracy.

) Ability to use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to complete and document work tasks.
