Salary RangeUSD $21.00/Hr. -OverviewJob in a Nutshell: The Machine Operator is responsible for the daily setup and operation of food packaging equipment at the Distribution Center. Machinery includes, but is not limited to, bulk foods, baggers, and labelers.Applications are accepted by the date below, which may be updated if the hiring timeline is extended. 07/05/2024 ResponsibilitiesMain Ingredients:
Sets up and adjust processing and packaging machines prior to daily operation
Converts raw material into finished goods according to production schedule
Completes necessary documentation for changeovers, cleaning, and product specifications
Maintains standard efficiency and accuracy with machine operation and labeling
Verifies all labels
Maintains shift log of production and other data
Records production metrics such as quantity, weight, size, date and type of products packaged
Checks products for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards
Maintains production machinery and performs routine cleaning, corrective adjustments as necessary, and troubleshooting
Responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled
Reports all problems with machinery to Production Supervisor/Lead Operator
Performs all tasks in a manner that promotes safety of employees
Performs all tasks in compliance with Food Safety standards
Follow all SSOP's, Allergen and HACCP standards.
Maintain shift log of production and other data
Clean machines daily to maintain an organic and allergen/sanitary environment

Minimum 1 years recent experience in operating food production machinery
High School degree or equivalent is required
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices in food production preferred
Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and concisely
Must be able to meet daily deadlines
Must have good attention to detail, including accuracy and thoroughness
Basic computer skills required
Must be team-oriented and flexible to changing demands
Ability to work with others in a fast-paced team environment
Must be reliable and on time every day
Able to work in seasonally warm or cool environment
Mechanical aptitude/skills preferred
Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs, repetitive lifting up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
Requires the use of both arms and both hands with full range of motion.
Must be able to bend at the waist and knees, twist, push and pull on occasional basis
Must be able to kneel, squat, and climb as needed
Must be able to reach overhead and away from the body
Must be able to stand for at least 90% of the time
Must be able to walk for at least 90% of the time
Must be able to see colors and view computer monitors for extended periods.
