Our Customer Insights and Behavioral Science team is seeking a research expert to join them on a part time, on-call basis.About On-Call Employment with ICF:Given the project-specific nature of our client work, ICF often hires research professionals as “On-Call” employees. On-Call employees are scheduled for work hours as they become available (we usually schedule work hours a few weeks ahead of time), and each on-call employee is free to accept or refuse the hours assigned to them in a given week. On-Call employees may work concurrent projects outside of their ICF assignment (as long as their outside work does not create a conflict of interest with the work they do for ICF).What you will be doing:You will be working with ICF’s Customer Insights and Behavioral Science Team conducting qualitative and/or quantitative customer research for our utility clients. In this role, you will design, implement, analyze, and report on a broad range of customer research topics using best-in-class research practices. In this position, you will be responsible for developing new insights about utility customers by exploring their perceptions, attitudes, knowledge and behaviors through the application of a range of social science and customer research methods, including (but not limited to) online surveys, focus groups, in depth interviews, triads, customer journey mapping, A/B and usability testing, user testing, market research, literature reviews, and workshops.ICF is looking for a Research Associate to play a critical role in supporting our Customer Insights and Behavioral Science research efforts.

Qualitative Research : Conduct qualitative customer research including online and in-person focus groups, in-depth interviews, triad, customer journey mapping, A/B testing, usability testing, and user testing involving the development of research plans, moderator/ interview guides, sample designs, and analysis plans

Quantitative Research: Develop online surveys and provide methodological guidance in support of quantitative research activities including sample design, survey instrument development, and survey programming (Qualtrics or QuestionPro)

Data Visualization: Use advanced data visualization skills and experience in creating infographics, customer journey maps, and other creative materials and power point presentations

Project Management: Work closely with the Director of Customer Insights and other ICF staff to ensure customer research is achieving goals on schedule and within budget and that work products are of the highest quality

Behavioral Science Research: Apply relevant psychological theory and principles of behavioral economics to construct frameworks for customer research, interpret research results, and develop program designs. Conduct user testing on elements of programs designed to instigate behavior change.

What we need you to have ( minimum qualifications):

Bachelor’s in (social science or related field) and

2+ years of experience developing, designing, and/or conducting successful qualitative or quantitative research projects pertaining to Evaluation, Measurement, and Verification (EM&V) or similar applicable experience

1+ years of experience in focus group research platforms, survey research software (Qualtrics, QuestionPro, etc.), and data analysis software (SPSS, R, etc.)

The pay range for this position is:$63,511.00 - $107,968.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
