Preconstruction Material Coordinator (Residential Plumbing Experience Not Applicable)

Position Requirements
-Qualifications and Experience:
Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 years' experience in the installation and supervision of commercial and industrial plumbing and hydronic piping systems. (Residential Plumbing Experience Not Applicable)
Licensure: Must hold a Colorado Journeymen Plumber or Master License.
Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience and knowledge reading and understanding project plans, specifications, floor plans, elevation plans, isometric drawings, P&ID schematic drawings, details, approved submittals, manufactures installation requirements & recommendations and how to reconcile all the information to determine what is necessary for the installation of every category of a plumbing & hydronic piping systems per code, construction documents and manufactures requirements. Consider and implement the top 12 categories to determine the installation.
Drawing Skills: Proficient in creating detailed and precise isometric and prefabrication drawings.
Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets, PDF software such as Blue Beam or equivalents, and email communication.
Material Take-Offs: Capable of conducting comprehensive material take-offs to support complete plumbing and piping installations down to final connections.
Procurement Coordination: Experience in assembling material packages for quotation and procurement, aligned with project schedules, phases, and billing sequences.
Submittals Expertise: Familiarity with the submittal process and documentation.
Communication Skills: Effective communicator capable of liaising with Project Managers and Lead Plumbers or Superintendents to coordinate material package phasing and staging.
Estimating Experience: Preferably experienced in estimating plumbing and hydronic piping systems, whether manually or using specialized software.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and filing skills.
Task Prioritization: Ability to recognize and prioritize tasks to maintain workflow and ensure project schedules are met, considering lead times and shipping durations.
BIM/CAD Proficiency: Competent in reading and interpreting BIM/CAD models and managing clashes. Collaborates effectively with design teams, contractors, and superintendents to guarantee constructability and adherence to plumbing codes.
