Job Summary

Reliability Technician, maintain and operate industrial equipment involved in the production of cement. Safely and timely performs routine preventive maintenance inspections/repairs and lubrication of the plant equipment.

Job Responsibilities

Performs all tasks in a safe and professional manner in conformance with plant rules, quality standards and company policies.

Responds to emergency call outs on an as needed basis.

Inspects plant equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication, etc.

Lubricates equipment.

Effective execution of the overhaul outage plan.

Advises when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.

Works out of crane basket and man-lift.

Performs preventive and predictive maintenance.

Qualifications

Must have understanding of plant flow and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Must be able to do necessary lubrication, using proper lubricants and make minor repairs and adjustments

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to operate heavy equipment.

Ability to read, write and communicate clearly.

Ability to comply with all MSHA & CEMEX safety regulations and able to utilize all required PPE.

Working Conditions

Must be able to work in high levels of heat, cold, dust, height & noise.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 25lbs frequently – 50-100lbs occasionally, climb stairs, and ladders.

Ability to work in maritime and confined space environments. Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb and crouch for extended periods.

Ability to work around electromagnetic fields generated by motors.
