Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Production TIG Welder to join our team. As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding, assembling, and fabricating metal components according to blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in TIG welding, be detail-oriented, and ensure high-quality welds are made consistently to meet production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
TIG Welding: Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.
Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand project specifications.
Precision Work: Ensure high-quality welds with tight tolerances, working in a production setting to meet productivity and quality standards.
Fabrication: Assist with the fabrication of parts and assemblies, including cutting, grinding, and polishing.
Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect welds to ensure they meet required specifications and conduct any necessary rework. Ensure adherence to quality control standards.
Safety: Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment. Wear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and use welding equipment safely.
Maintenance: Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions or damage.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, supervisors, and engineers to ensure efficient workflow and the successful completion of projects.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a TIG Welder in a production environment.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Attention to detail and high precision in welding tasks.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Familiarity with safety protocols and use of PPE.
Certification in TIG Welding (AWS, ASME, or equivalent) preferred.
Additional technical training or certifications in welding is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy materials, up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various physical positions.
Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
