We're looking for a responsible, energetic part-time Groundskeeper to help us maintain and care for a private 12-acre property. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, is physically capable, independent, and comfortable around animals. We're happy to train the right person — especially if they come with a strong work ethic, a great attitude, and some applicable skills. This is a great fit for someone who wants consistent part-time work and likes a variety of hands-on tasks.
About the Job:
20 hours/week; flexible hours with some seasonal variation
Private residence (12 acres); mostly outdoor work
Pay: $17–$20/hr based on experience
Paid working interview (half or full day)
Key Responsibilities:
Yard/property maintenance (mowing, trimming, weeding)
Seasonal tasks (pruning, firewood, sprinklers, etc.)
Landscaping, weed control, and gardening
Basic repairs and upkeep (fences, sheds, minor painting)
House exterior cleaning (windows, cobwebs, siding)
Trash/recycling/compost duties
Light vehicle maintenance (fueling, washing, vacuuming)
Occasional indoor help (cleaning, organization, moving, laundering shop rags)
Occasional Animal care: chickens and dog (check food/water, clean containers, chicken coop maintenance)
Equipment checks and maintenance (mower, generator, snow blower)
Requirements:
Able to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
Comfortable using or learning outdoor equipment
Self-starter who can work independently
Reliable, detail-oriented, and respectful of privacy/property
Brings a hard-working attitude and willingness to learn
Dependable transportation
Experience with similar work is a plus (but not required)
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with chickens and dogs
Handy with tools and home/garden equipment
Light construction or painting experience
