We are looking for a team member with a great attitude and strong attention to detail to join our Large Animal Barn Crew Team. This position is a part-time position consisting of weekend hours.

Here's more information about the position:

This position exists to perform cleaning, disinfection, and preparation of the large animal facilities in accordance with hospital protocols and biosecurity standards. This position provides patients with the cleanest and most disease free environment possible 365 days a year. This position also provides nourishment, shelter, and care to the large animal patients in the hospital; repairs and maintains equipment, grounds and shelter facilities; and maintains an inventory of feed supplies and other supplies as needed. This position takes nightly census of the two facilities and works with student hourly workers to compete nightly cleaning duties. This position provides assistance for recovering patients and with patient restraint only as requested by large animal clinicians and veterinary technicians. Assists in the training of Barn Crew student hourly employees. This position may be approached by new students, residents, etc. for information/questions pertaining to Large Animal Facility cleaning standard operating procedures.

This position does not involve any type of medical patient treatments.

This is an essential worker position and must be willing and able to report to work as directed to perform essential and/or emergency services without delay or interruption.

Must have the ability to lift 50-80 pounds

The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; the department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Working Schedule: this position will work weekends the majority of the assignment, the Caretaker will be scheduled Saturday and/or Sunday based on their availability, 8-10 hours per day.

This role will be scheduled 8-19 hours per week, and will receive some prorated benefits due to the part-time status.
