American Sign Company is hiring Traffic Control Flaggers for our project in Johnstown off of I-25 starting at $15.00/hr. This project will run for several years.
You must have open availability, including weekends. You must have a valid drivers license and personal transportation to get to and from the project. You must be able to pass a drug test, including marijuana. You must have open availability to work, including weekends.
The interviews include orientation, certification testing, interview, employment paperwork and drug screening (preferred to be done prior to the interview).
The information below includes the requirements and what you may expect when working as a Traffic Control Flagger. You are applying for a very important job. It saves lives and supports ongoing growth improvements for our State.
Traffic Control Flagger standard qualifications
Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time
Capable to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds while loading trucks and setting up/tearing down work zones
Traffic control work environments will vary making it necessary to tolerate weather conditions, such as winds, rain, snow and extreme temperatures
Flexible availability to include nights and possible weekend schedules
RELIABLE for project needs, customer satisfaction and team support
Considers SAFETY #1
The ideal candidate displays the following characteristics:
Dependable
Listens to authority
Can think on the job
Motivated
Can work in the heat/cold
Takes safety seriously
Certified flagger is preferred, not required.
