We are a fast-growing CPA Firm seeking to hire a CPA or EA. This is a possible temp to hire position. This is a in office position at the beginning and may turn into a hybrid position allowing (but not requiring) work from home with occasional days in the office.

TYPICAL DUTIES:
Prepare federal and state income tax returns for businesses and individual clients using Ultra Tax software.
Maintain financial accounting records for client companies. This includes, but is not limited to preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, accounting for fixed assets, other assets, liabilities, equity (for all business types), and preparing work-papers for our files.
Prepare and maintain depreciation schedules.
Occasionally train and assist clients with use of QuickBooks accounting software (online and desktop versions).
Occasional preparation and review payroll and sales & use tax returns.
Perform additional tax and accounting related assignments per supervisor’s direction.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE:
Educational and experience requirements include: 4-5 years business/accounting degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in federal and multi-state income taxation or equivalent combinations of training and job experience. Advanced degree in taxation is a plus. Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus. Thorough understanding of federal and multi-state tax laws and standard accounting procedures. Candidate should be entrepreneurial minded and have strong communication and leadership skills as well a willingness and desire to help others. CPA or EA designation in active status is required.
