Overview:
Coordinate all service work and tank sets in assigned territory with manager. Complete all required paperwork associated with gas checks and propane service work.
Essential Duties:
Repair customer propane and refined fuel systems and insure safe operation.
Perform Propane gas checks on new and existing customers and assist in out-of gas leak checks.
Install and pick up refined fuel tanks with a boom truck as well as installing and servicing RFD monitors. Employee must be willing to be on call during off duty hours.
Help create and maintain a standard for a clean, neat, safe trucks, equipment, and personnel.
Assist management and administrative personnel with required data for M.I.S. for routing, tracking, and accounting.
Participate in a serious and comprehensive safety program and help implement company safety standards.
Provide hands on, personal customer service to those customers in route territory, including competently explaining our programs, credit and pricing structure.
Acquire basic skills and endorsements to perform repairs, regulator replacements, and leak checks and know how to recognize an unsafe system and what to do in that instance.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
C.D.L. with hazmat endorsement (Minimum class B).
Current certificates for CTEP courses in Basic Propane, L.P. bottle fill, Delivery, Installation.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years verifiable experience in propane and RFD service and repair.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Basic math skills.
Ability to apply common sense understanding, to carry out instructions furnished on written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to lift and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to climb ladders and get in and out of a truck
Bending, squatting, kneeling or standing may be required
Must be able to deal with extreme temperature
