The college centers diversity, equity, and inclusion and we actively seek to employee partners who want to join us in working to reducing outcome gaps among our diverse student population.Description of JobThe Director of Personnel Success reports to the Chief Human Resources & Personnel Success Officer to oversee the full employee lifecycle at the college. This includes developing strategies and processes as well as providing direction and accountability for varied and distinct HR programming including retention and engagement, performance management, recruitment and selection, onboarding, employee relations, training, and professional development.This position also supports development and maintenance of HR-related policy/procedures, legal compliance related to employee relations and hiring practices, and assessment of outcomes contributing to the achievement of the college mission, vision and strategic priorities through the utilization of our human capital. This position administers budgets for recruitment and selection, and professional development. This position will engage in employee relations and provide essential support to employees including mediation, facilitation, and intervention. The role will also support the Chief Human Resources & Personnel Success Officer in legal matters.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversight of Human Resource Operations

Will provide the immediate supervision for staff working in the following functional areas of HR: employee relations, retention and engagement, professional development, coaching/employee evaluation, recognition and rewards, talent acquisition, and HRIS systems.

Employee Relations/ Risk Management

Acts as a key business partner to build trusted relationships and loyalty with all levels of staff and leadership in order to serve as a resource to ensure the workplace is healthy and productive for all towards the betterment of service to our students.

Oversee the employee coaching, feedback, and overall performance management cycle to ensure compliance with state and system rule and procedure.

Maximize employee engagement via highly trained supervisors and processes.

Serve as the employee representative for the college to support employee relations. Engage in intervention, mediation and facilitation as determined necessary to resolve conflict.

Talent Acquisition

Provide oversight and guidance for strategies, tactics and processes for identifying, recruiting and retaining the human resources the college needs, including developing, implementing and evaluating programs for sourcing, recruiting, hiring and orienting talent.

Conducts research on ongoing demographic trends and best practices regarding employee lifecycle to identify strategies for hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.

Employee Professional Development & Training

Oversee the administration and cycle of a dynamic employee onboarding program including new employee orientation, training supervisors in best onboarding practices, and new-hire check-ins to compile and analyze process for future improvement.

Partners with the college division for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as well as the The HUB on major initiatives and training programs.

Develop and oversee a robust employee development program that meets the needs of each individual and division using data to identify needs and programming direction.

Compile regular reports of development taking place institution-wide and track how efforts impact satisfaction and retention.

Serve as the primary representative from HR to college-wide Professional Development efforts.

Employee Engagement & Belonging

Oversee employee recognition initiatives to celebrate successes of all divisions and departments within the college in a variety of ways.

Develop and maintain data and reports related to personnel satisfaction, engagement, retention, and development.

Strategic Planning & Evaluation - Highly proficient in data analysis to organize and set priorities, determine resource needs, identify short and long-term goals and strategize to achieve them.

Demonstrates the ability to utilize various forms of technology for development of survey tools, technical report writing and development of dynamic, professional presentations for internal and external audiences.

Teamwork and Collaboration- Facilitates and coordinates with individuals across the institution to ensure the college’s personnel operations are effective and efficient, leading to high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction.

Supervisory experience which demonstrates a commitment to building highly effective teams and creating accountability in the work unit.

Able to handle confidential information with absolute discretion.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal RightsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education - Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Employee or Organizational Development, Psychology or other similarly related program of study.

Experience –Demonstrated experience in professional level position(s) that has engaged in the following areas:

human resources management;

diversity, equity & inclusion;

employee management or supervision, including coaching and development;

workforce data analysis and survey tool development;

employee training and development of curriculum for training programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, or closely related field.

Supplemental InformationSalary Range: Anticipated starting salary range: $70,000.00 annually. This salary is determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information. CCA offers an excellent , including generous leave, holiday, and education benefits.
